Love is Patient, Love is Kind...And Sometimes Love Says, "Cut the Sh*t, Honey Buns."

I know you THINK you’re ensuring that you’ll always be held and understood (and one up!) by being the perfect lil angel in your relationship.

And you might succeed at being put on an accidental pedestal where you’re always right and your partner is a mess who just can’t keep up. (How many of us get stuck here until we just have to give up??)

They might feel that they’re letting you down and apologize for not getting it right, but this positioning is not bringing you closer, and it’s definitely not inspiring anybody.

Unfortunately, perfection is a lie and most of us haven’t been taught how to be direct and expressive in the moment.

I’m not telling you to choose your words carefully...

NOR to blurt out whatever mess spills out of you...

I’m telling you there’s a secret third thing:

Real-Time, From-the-HEART Expression.

Because, HONEY, a loving heart has the power to say, “that’s OK, let’s take our time,” AND, “Listen here, BUDDY.”

This is a practice but it is also a return to your nature.

It is love rebellion and it’s not the covert perfectionism you’re learning in Therapy and Couple’s Counseling.

GET IN ON THIS, LOVERS!
